We enjoyed an action-packed Saturday, with three Basketball matches and a Football Match taking place and no fewer than fifty of our pupils proudly representing BISC.In the morning, we hosted matches for our Under 10 and 12 Boys and our Under 13 Girls against the RAJA Basketball Club.
The three matches were hotly contested and all the players were clearly eager to give their best and finish on the winning side.
Our Under 10 team came through on top and they can be very pleased and proud of their performance. The Under 12 and 13 teams showed great determination and the girls, in particular, fought back with real courage but RAJA deservedly enjoyed victories in these two games.
However, the progress being made is remarkable and Coach Mustapha Khalfi is really inspiring his players to enjoy the game at a competitive level.
The game was enjoyable to watch and most pleasingly our boys showed they could play good attacking football, particularly in the first half, when they crafted and scored an excellent goal. Unfortunately, in the second half they were guilty of not converting the numerous chances they created and credit to City Foot who kept going and seized a rare opportunity to pull level, at the end of the match.
Our boys can take a good deal of courage and confidence from their performance and there is definitely the feeling that greater things await if they continue to work as hard as they currently are, under Coach Hicham Loksairy's lead.
